Gnosall Farmers Market

Growing Enterprise have been asked to organise a new farmers market in Gnosall based on their experience in the food retail industry and their long standing relationship in the community. Gnosall is the largest village in England and is also the feeder village centre for many smaller villages locally.

The farmers market is set to be the penultimate event in Gnosall festival - a week long programme of events aimed at local people celebrating local people, their businesses, hobbies and knowledge.

Planned for Sunday July 14th 10.00am - 3.00pm the market can host up to 20 traders of local produce and horticulture.

Producers already booked include greats such as Willow Cottage Store; selling chutneys sauces and preserves, Brew; selling all things for a decent cuppa, Staffordshire Cheese Co; producers of the best cheese in the county!(and beer!) and Halfpenny Green Vineyard who will no doubt tempt you will local wines to accompany your Sunday Lunch. Many more tasty treats will be available and all funds raised from the organisation of the event will go towards Gnosall based community causes such as the development of a village green and a telephone befriending service for the elderly.

It is hoped that providing the first market is well received to stage it quarterly on the fifth Sundays of the month offering the parishioners of Gnosall and surround an opportunity to buy local and use the village.
